Doors at The Oriental Theater open and submissions are accepted starting at 7pm. Show begins at 8 pm. $5 admission. We accept a maximum of 108 minutes worth of footage each night on a first come first serve basis. Prizes for the best films are announced at the end of the night. The Oriental Theater – 4335 W 44th Ave Denver, CO
It was a short show this month and, for the first time, OSN was held at a different venue. The Denver Open Media Foundation was gracious enough to host us this month and Will Elder and Zack Cooper from the sketch comedy group “Laugh, You Bastards!” emcee’d the evening.
We had two submissions. First up, we saw “Joe Andrews” from Mike Howard about a misunderstanding gone horribly wrong. The second, and the night’s winner, was a sampling of Michael Mathews’ clown documentary “Red Nose State.”
There was much deliberation from our judges Lauren Dunning, Byron Graham, and Dave Ashton and both our submitters walked away with cool prizes. Thank you all who came out supported OSN’s first foray outside the Oriental, and we’ll see you back at our usual venue in April!
